Here’s all of this week’s essential reading for England supporters.

We begin with Football365 and Seb Stafford-Bloor, who’s been asking why former England manager Don Revie isn’t spoken of more highly. Oh, and Revie managed Leeds United too. You might have heard about it.

You might also have heard that Harry Maguire has signed for Manchester United. I wrote about it myself but what you really need is Jonathan Wilson’s analysis, which demonstrates why Maguire and United are hand in glove.

BBC Sport‘s Emma Sanders has positive words for Raheem Sterling, who scored in Manchester City’s Community Shield success over Liverpool before spending some quality time with young Reds fans in the front row at Wembley. Class act.

Paul MacInnes of The Guardian has the news that Tottenham Hotspur and England midfielder Dele Alli missed the pre-season friendly against Internazionale because he’s aggravated a hamstring injury, a development that has Mauricio Pochettino worried.

And we end where we started, with Seb Stafford-Bloor and Football365. This time it’s Ryan Sessegnon, at the time only a prospective Spurs player, and why he’s perfect for Poch.
