Here’s all of this week’s essential reading for England supporters.

After the recent internationals and in no way “this week” it was, of course, time for Football365‘s EURO 2020 Finals England Ladder. Raheem Sterling hits top spot, and there’s a huge leap for Declan Rice and an even bigger one for Mason Mount.

Paul MacInnes of The Guardian has an update from Spain, where Kieran Trippier is making an impression at Atletico Madrid and, it appears, thoroughly embracing life in his new home.

Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings is particularly popular in this parish and Stuart James recently spoke to him for The Guardian. At his new academy in Nechells, Mings “is the biggest kid of the lot” as he focuses on the fun of football.

Mings might one day play for England alongside Harry Maguire. BBC Sport man Simon Stone focused on Maguire after the Premier League meeting of his former and current clubs last weekend, highlighting the importance of the expensive but imperfect player to club and country.

And finally, in both senses of the word, Callum Hudson-Odoi has signed a new contract at Chelsea. It’s a five-year deal and he’s “really happy” about it.
